Raising The BridgeIn 2016 I won a prize. My artwork Leaving The Harbour featured in Art at the Bridge in the Engine Room of Tower Bridge from March 2015 to February 2016 and was chosen as overall winner of the exhibition. My prize was to perform a bridge lift at Tower Bridge, which I did on June 17th at 19.45 to allow MV Balmoral to pass through.
The last time I won a prize I was 9 years old. It was a fancy dress competition and my home-made dress was adorned with crêpe paper leaves to represent the West End hit musical Salad Days. I came first. For this prize I also dressed up. My hat and coat are fashioned from everyday dishcloths and the accessories constructed from non-scratch scourers. Once again the outfit is worn over a home-made dress. |
